After a 2 and a half year long engagement, the wedding pictures for Chelsea and Trevor are finally here! After their door county engagement pictures, I was super pumped for this. However, in the few days leading up to the wedding, there were predictions for (cue dramatic music)… RAIN! D:

Thankfully between my brilliant planning, Trevors moms umbrellas, and brief luls in the rain, we were able to overcome the weather and the clouds brought real drama to the sky.  I asked Chelsea and Trevor to share some of their thoughts from the day! Enjoy!

When the two of you were planning the wedding together, what was the most fun part?

Chelsea: For me, I’d have to say the most fun part was just creating the overall vision, and selecting my wedding dress. From the very start, I had envisioned a bohemian  wanderlust themed wedding. With my dress being so unique, I knew right off the bat that I wanted ivory bridesmaid dresses. Also, incorporating our shared love for travel within the wedding so much fun. I enjoyed designing a wedding that I knew would be different from most weddings.

Trevor: Just having an excuse to be with each other, when we otherwise would not have be able to. We are both very busy people, but people seemed to cut us some slack and give us a break when it came to wedding planning.

How was experience before the ceremony, were you nervous? Excited?

Chelsea: I was VERY nervous and excited. I remember waiting in the basement as the other bridesmaids went upstairs, and I could not stop crying because my emotions were getting to me. I remember looking at my mom and dad when we linked arms, and they were crying too.

Trevor: I wasn’t nervous until I tried going to bed the night before. I had a little trouble getting to sleep that night. The next morning I felt confident and ready to get this marriage thing underway!

Were there any unforeseen problems that arose on the wedding day and if so, how did you work around them?

Chelsea: There really wasn’t! At the time, my biggest concern was that the forecast called for rain all day. Fortunately, the rain magically stopped after the ceremony when we took photos. The rainy skies ended up being a blessing, as they contributed to some amazing photos! It really was a perfect day, and it went by way too fast.
Trevor: Everything was great that day. The rain stopped just in time for pictures. That made Chelsea really happy….and if she’s happy, I’m happy.

If you could go back and relive any one moment of the day, what would you go back to?

Chelsea: Walking down the aisle and seeing Trev. I barely remember the moment because it went so fast. Also, I wish I could re-live our first dance, and the dance with my daddy. I really just wish we would re-live the whole day. It went by in the blink of an eye. I actually cried when it was over. haha!

Trevor: The first time I saw her walking down the aisle. That was probably the most special part of the day, and it happened so fast.

Now that you’re a pro, what advice do you have for other brides planning their weddings?

Chelsea: I would say, don’t do a 2.5 year engagement….LOL. Just kidding. But I would say, just enjoy the process, and try to stress out so much. Everything works out how it should.

Trevor: Happy wife (fiance), happy life.

Any shoutouts you want to give to any vendors or friends that helped you out in a special way?

Chelsea: Shout out to the amazing ladies that did my hair and makeup, Kristie and AJ.  Extreme Entertainment is amazing, as they kept the dance floor rocking all night. We also thank Stadium View; John and Amber were so great with the whole planning process. Buds n Blooms is incredible. And of course, CJ, for his creativity and artistry in capturing our special day.  Honestly, if I could do the whole wedding over again, I don’t think I would have changed a thing.

Trevor: The whole wedding party made it the most fun day of ours lives. JC with Extreme Entertainment was excellent. I was really impressed with CJ from Resolution. It’s clear he can read people well and adjusts to make the day flow well for the bride, groom, and wedding party. I also have to give a big shoutout to Stadium View. All three of these vendors took away any problems or stress from us that day. If there were any problems, we didn’t even know about them or have to deal with them.
