With Andrew and Courtney, we had a great time at Green Bay community church where we were serenaded by the one and only Franki Jo. Later we went to the Green Bay botanical gardens and I’m super excited to show you some teasers! (I also included a few favorites from their engagement session… I’m pretty sure you’ll understand why when you see them!) Enjoy!

When the two of you were planning the wedding together, what was the most fun part?

The best parts about planning the wedding were deciding on decorations (like the donut wall 🍩) and planning our honeymoon to Italy for July.”

How was experience before the ceremony, were you nervous? Excited?

“Andrew would say he felt cool and collected but he really felt more nervous than he expected. Courtney didn’t have much time to get nervous because she was worried she might not be ready in time after arriving to the church later than planned. However, everything went as scheduled and our nerves went away once we standing together at the alter. ”

Were there any unforeseen problems that arose on the wedding day and if so, how did you work around them?

“The seating chart had a few kinks but we had plenty of seats so it all worked out in the end. During the speeches Courtney’s napkin caught fire but the maid of honor noticed right away and quickly put out the flame. The only damage was a 2 inch hole in the napkin… not too bad. We also had a groomsman tear his pants in the front and back during pictures. Luckily, it wasn’t too noticeable and he was able to do some interesting tricks because of it.”

If you could go back and relive any one moment of the day, what would you go back to?

“If we could go back and relive any moment it would be riding the party bus after the ceremony was just over because the stress was done and we were surrounded by friends and family celebrating our marriage. ”

Now that you’re a pro, what advice do you have for other brides planning their weddings?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help and assistance early on. It is difficult to plan a wedding singlehandedly and I regret not accepting help from friends and family earlier on.

The Ravine was amazing at ensuring that everything went smoothly the night of our wedding. John, the owner, was extremely helpful and directed us as soon as we got to the venue. He even gave Andrew some pointers on how to look cool during the garter removal/toss.
We also were very lucky to have many family members and friends who were there to help with set-up, moving things from the church to the reception, vacuuming up rose petals, and everything else in between. We really appreciate their hard work!
Last, but not least, we really appreciate all of the work CJ and James put in making sure that pictures were captured at each event throughout the day. He made pictures seem fun even on a 90 degree day.”
